Living It Labyrinth

Creating a labyrinth, building one from scratch, is a very big learning curve for all involved.  The highs, the lows, the ups and the downs… step by step, brick by brick, the labyrinth points out your short comings and your strengths…  as an individual and as a team – continually spiraling into your Self and back out into All That Is.

Building a labyrinth creates a sacred space and place – walking a labyrinth imbues it with power and meaning.  A labyrinth becomes more powerful as a symbol of transformation the more it is used.

A labyrinth has an unicursal path - designed for you to find your way.  A maze with its turns, twists and blind alleys - is designed for you to lose your way.

The Living It Labyrinth is based on the classical design (or seven circuit/path) known as the Cretan Labyrinth.  Labyrinths of various designs are found in most cultures and date back more than 4000 years.  For centuries labyrinths have been used as tools of meditation and prayer – a means of getting in touch with yourself.

The use of a labyrinth is not connected to any form of religion - everyone is welcome.

You are invited to walk the labyrinth and we trust that in doing so, you will find your way back to your soul.  We are all on a path.  We are always exactly where we need to be on the path.  The labyrinth is symbolic of our life’s journey – either individually or collectively.  Walking a labyrinth takes you on a journey to the centre of your innermost self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are – the journey takes you out of your ego and into “that which is within”.
